Terms and Conditions



These terms and conditions only relate to the BOSVELD CHARCOAL REWARDS Program.


    1.1. Romador 162 (Pty) Ltd t/a BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® (Pty) Ltd (Registration Number:2009/018949/07) (“BOSVELD CHARCOAL ®”) is launching a new rewards and loyalty program (“the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS”).
    1.2 These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) must be read in conjunction with the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® website terms and conditions (“Website T&C’s”), which are available at www.BOSVELD CHARCOAL.co.za(“Website”). Please note that certain defined terms contained in the Website T&C’s will be utilized and incorporated into these Terms and Conditions.
    1.3 The terms “customer”, ‘’user’’, “you” and “your” are used interchangeably in these Terms and Conditions and refers to any individual who uses the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website from time to time (or intends willingly participating on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL® REWARDS program).
    1.4 These Terms and Conditions govern the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS Program. BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® permits the use of the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website subject to these Terms and Conditions, and by using the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website you shall be deemed to have accepted all the terms and conditions unconditionally.
    1.5 Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully and make sure you understand them before you use the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website and or register to participate on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ®  REWARDS program. Please do not use the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website if you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions.
    1.6 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended or must be understood to unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any right or obligation, as the case may be, created for either you or BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® in terms of the Consumer Protection Act No 68 of 2008 (“CPA”).
    1.7 By accepting these terms and conditions you give BOSVELD CHARCOAL® permission to contact you via SMS/email/call in the future regarding:
    a) Rewards;
    b) Orders;
    c) BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS promotions;
    d) Marketing communication;
    e) Customer feedback;
    f) Customer surverys.
    1.8. By making use of the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website, you consent to BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® making use of your personal information (as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013) and BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® undertakes that your personal information will not be shared with any 3rd parties.
    1.9. Loyalty points and cash-back can only be earned after all discounts and promotions have been applied.
    1.10 Using the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website and completing a registration with false information constitutes fraud. A customer’s registration and subsequent profile will be suspended and will not be eligible for any rewards or promotions from the date of suspension, which decision will be made unilaterally by the management of BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® and will not be able to be reviewed or set aside.
    1.11 Registering on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website more than once from the same device to redeem offers and promotions constitutes fraud. Your profile will be suspended and you will not be eligible for any rewards or promotions from the date of suspension, which decision will be made unilaterally by the management of BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® and will not be able to be reviewed or set aside.
    1.12 The use of the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS promotional discounts are currently only available for redemption directly with BOSVELD CHARCOAL ®.
    1.13 BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® has the right to remove or disable the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website without prior notice.



    2.1 The BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS program is open to all South African citizens over the age of 18 years and older. A customer is required to register before being able to transact on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website and to obtain any BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS discounts and promotions.

    2.2 Upon registering on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website, the customer guarantees that the information provided to BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® is correct, accurate and complete. Please note that in the case of limited offers, extra restrictions such as a ‘’Limit to the number of such products per order’’ may apply.

    2.3. How to register on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL® Website and BOSVELD CHARCOAL® REWARDS program?
    2.3.1 Step 1: Get started by visting www.BosveldCharcoal.co.za and clicking on the“REWARDS” button on the main menu bar;
    2.3.2 Step 2: Complete your registration by inserting your name, surname, cellular number and eMail address and physicall address;
    2.3.3 Step 3: Complete your date of birth, gender and confirm whether you are in any way affiliated with any of our staff members;
    2.3.4 Step 4: Agree to the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website Terms & Conditions;
    2.3.5 Step 5: Select a Password to use when logging into the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website;
    2.3.6 Step 6: Complete your registration by adding your credit/debit card details on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website under ‘’My Profile’’ > ‘’Card Details’’;
    2.3.7 Step 7: Follow the 3D secure process to vault your card on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website. A R1.00 (One Rand) deduction will be taken off a customer’s card to verify whether a valid card has been loaded onto the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website. This transaction will be reversed back into a customer’s account within fourteen working days.
    2.3.8 Step 8: Start earning loyalty points and cash-back.

    2.4. Indemnity:
    2.4.1 The Customer hereby agrees to indemnify and hold BOSVELD CHARCOAL® and its directors, employees and agents harmless from any claims, demands, losses, liabilities and expenses (including legal or medical expenses) arising out of your use of the services or products obtained through the use of the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website.
    2.4.2 The Customer will not hold BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® and its directors, employees and agents for any damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise through any claim that may arise through use of the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website, the services or products of BOSVELD CHARCOAL ®.

    The BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website offers, inter alia, the following goods and services:

    3.1.1 Orders (Click & Collect / Deliver Service);
    3.1.2 Earning Loyalty through purchase;
    3.1.3 Using the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website to pay;
    3.1.4 Gifting;
    3.1.5 Promotional Offers.

    3.2.1 Orders (Click & Collect/Deliver Service): All “Orders” orders will be treated as a Delivery order unless otherwise specified at time of ordering. Pre-ordering for future dates can be scheduled. When a customer places an order on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website, funds equal to the total value of the order will be reserved against the verified card a customer has saved on their profile. All products for sale in the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website are subject to availability. All items available are visible in the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website, unless otherwise specified. The placing of an order will happen when payment is made by a customer’s debit/credit card and the order has been confirmed on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website screen. No changes to an Order can be made once the final order has been submitted. Prices on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website are subject to change without notice. BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® has made an effort to ensure that all images and pricing are correct at the time of Order. The actual colours that you see on your device for the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® products may vary from device depending on the make. A Customer will be charged as per what is reflected on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website. All prices indicated in the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website include 15% (fifteen percent) Value Added Tax (“VAT”) as per the Value Added Tax Act 89 of 1991. The BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website offers technical information on each product item. The Customer has read and understands that he / she indemnifies BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® from any and all liability that may arise from usage or consumption of the products of BOSVELD CHARCOAL ®. BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® has strict quality assurance practices in place to avoid defect product. Any product found to be defective can be returned to BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® for a full refund. Customers have the option to select their collection times, being two slots of between 08:00 and 12:30 or 13:30 to 16:30 daily, Monday to Friday or between 08:00 and 12:30 on a Saturday.

    3.3. Earning Cash-back and Loyalty points:
    3.3.1 With every purchase made on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website, a Customer will be rewarded with 2% (two percent) of their total spend back into their Wallet Balance. For example: Spend R100 and receive R2 back in your Wallet Balance;
    3.3.2 The 2% (two percent) loyalty cash-back reflects immediately in a customer’s Wallet Balance on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL® Website;
    3.3.3 A customer’s Loyalty Wallet balance earned will not expire;

    3.3.4 With every purchase made on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website, a customer will receive 1 (one) loyalty point per Rand-value spent through the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website. Each loyalty point will contribute to a Customer’s tiered status on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS program. For example: Spend R55 and receive 55 loyalty points;
    3.3.5 The BOSVELD CHARCOAL® REWARDS programme includes the following three loyalty status tiers: GOLD> PLATINUM> BLACK. With Black status being the highest loyalty tier;
    3.3.6 Tiered status points cannot be used as a payment method and is only an indication of a Customer’s loyalty status in the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS program;
    3.3.7 Each status tier offers a specific set of reward benefits that will be issued to a Customer. So the higher the status the better and bigger the rewards.

    3.4. Payment:
    3.4.1 Two options of payment exist on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website, namely: Pay with Saved Card/ Pay with Wallet Balance.
    3.4.2 It must be noted that the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website does not keep and or store any payment or card information.

    3.4.3 All payments are securely done and concluded using an independent third party payment gateway which is recognised and approved by all leading South African banks.
    3.4.4 Pay with Wallet Balance – a Customer can use their Wallet Balance for partial payment or full payment. This payment method would largely depend on the amount of Wallet Balance available in a customer’s BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS Wallet.
    3.4.5 It is the responsibility of a BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website user to protect and keep their login details secure. BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® cannot accept liability for any damages suffered or losses incurred from the unauthorized use of the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website by another user.
    3.4.6 BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen card information.
    3.4.7 BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® is entitled to withhold processing an order until such time authorisation is obtained from the independent third party payment gateway for the ordered amount. Should BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® not receive authorisation, a customer’s order for the products will be cancelled and the order will not be processed.

    3.5. Gifting:
    3.5.1This electronic gift card can be redeemed online at www.bosveldcharcoal.co.za and in-store.
    3.5.2 It is valid for 1 year from date of issue and must be utilised within this period. Should a customer not use it within this time, the Gift card will unfortunately expire.
    3.5.3 The minimum gift amount voucher that can be sent is R250 (Two Hundred and Fifty Rand).
    3.5.4 The maximum gift voucher amount that can be gifted is R1000 (One Thousand Rand)
    3.5.5 If the full value of your electronic gift card is not utilized on your first purchase, the balance will remain on your electronic gift card.
    3.5.6 n order to send a gift card to a recipient, the email address needs to be supplied.
    3.5.7 In the event of the electronic gift card being deleted or the customer’s cell phone being lost and/or stolen with the electronic gift card, neither Romador 162 (Pty) Ltd t/a BOSVELD CHARCOAL nor any of its agents will be liable for any reimbursement of any nature, whatsoever.
    3.5.8 The usage of the electronic gift card is solely at the risk and discretion of the customer.
    3.5.9 Romador 162 (Pty) Ltd t/a BOSVELD CHARCOAL will not be held responsible for any cellular network service operator’s delay in forwarding an electronic gift card to the customer.
    3.5.10 A voucher can be applied to any item. If the total value of your purchase exceeds the value of the voucher used, the balance is required to be paid by using a credit card or EFT.
    3.5.11 The gift card may not be used for any illegal transactions. It is your responsibility to determine whether a transaction is legal or not.
    3.5.12 Misuse of the gift card may constitute fraud and may lead to prosecution.
    3.5.13 This gift card may not be refunded or exchanged for cash or credit.
    3.5.14 Purchase authorisation will be declined if these terms and conditions are breached.
    3.5.15 The amount registered on the cardholder’s gift card will not accrue any interest
    3.5.16 Exchange and/or return of merchandise purchased in whole or in part with the gift card will be governed by the procedures and policies of Romador 162 (Pty) Ltd t/a BOSVELD CHARCOAL and the applicable law. At the time of any exchange or return, you must present both the merchandise receipt and the electronic gift card.
    3.5.17 South African Law governs these terms and conditions.

    3.6. Promotional Offers:
    3.6.1 Promotions are only redeemable directly with BOSVELD CHARCOAL ®. BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® has the right to amend or stop any promotion at any time.
    3.6.2 Promotional offers will be visible under the ‘’BOSVELD CHARCOAL Offers’’ tab (located under the main menu) on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website.
    3.6.3 Promotional vouchers are limited to one per Customer per transaction. This cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer(s).
    3.6.4 BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® cannot be held liable for lost or expired promotional vouchers. It is a Customer’s responsibility to take note of the validity of a promotional offers or voucher.
    3.6.5 Promotional offers may vary from time to time.
    3.6.6 Promotional offers cannot be exchanged or refunded for cash or credit.
    3.6.7 Should a Customer want to revoke/cancel an order after a promotional voucher has been selected/redeemed through the BOSVELD CHARCOAL® Website, the voucher will be lost and processed as redeemed. BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® cannot be held liable for any changes that are made after a promotional voucher has been selected/redeemed.

    1 BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® collects the following data with customer registration on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website:
    4.1.1 A valid customer mobile contact number to enable the Customer to receive a One Time Pin (“OTP”) for secure account registration/validation;
    4.1.2 A customer’s valid date of birth (“DOB”) to be able send a birthday message via the BOSVELD CHARCOAL® Website inbox function. DOB is also used to generate tiered birthday rewards in line with the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website’s core functionality;
    4.1.3 BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® will not share personal data with any other parties without consent or permission;
    4.1.4 Collected personal data through the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website, will be used to improve a customer’s experience and serve as a way of direct communication with a BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS customer.

    5.1 A customer is only allowed to earn a maximum of 2% (two percent) cash-back on a limited amount of 10 (ten) BOSVELD CHARCOAL® Website transactions per day.
    5.2 Only 5 (five) of the 10 (ten) limited BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website transactions can be used on sending gifting as provided for on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL® Website.
    5.3 BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® staff are not allowed participate on the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® REWARDS program.

    6.1 When a Customer loads a valid credit/debit card onto the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website, a R1 (One Rand) transaction will be processed
    6.2 This deduction is used verify whether a customer has loaded valid banking details. The R1 (One Rand) payment will be reversed within 14 (fourteen) working days back into a customer’s credit/debit card from the deduction date.
    6.3 The BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Customer Care can only resolve refunds during the hours of 09:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.

    7.1 The BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® may partner with third party service providers or product suppliers. Please note that different terms of use and privacy policies may apply to your use of such third-party services and content.
    7.2 BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® will not be responsible or held liable for any product or services of such third-party providers.

    BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® will be not held responsible for any delay or failure to perform or comply with our obligations under the BOSVELD CHARCOAL® Website Terms and Conditions when the delay or failure arises from any event which is beyond BOSVELD CHARCOAL’S ® reasonable control, which could not be reasonably foreseen, prevented by BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® (also referred to as an “Act of God”).

    BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. By agreeing to the BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® Website Terms and Conditions, a customer and BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® hereby submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

    BOSVELD CHARCOAL ® would like to ensure all of its customers are happy with their experience and our products.
